BILLY COTE

Billy Cote, a great musician, artist and writer, now has a website: http://www.billycote.com/. Please go to it and see the amazing stuff he’s been up to. His writing is hilarious and harrowing, as ecelctic and elemental as his music and art. Billy and I have been friends for some time, kindred spirits. It’s been my privilege to read his work in manuscript, and to give him my works in progress. It reminds me of the old days in New York, when on an afternoon I might visit a friend’s studio for cafe El Pico made in a mocha pot and conversation amid strewn guitars, cords, Casio keyboards, mixers, amps and speakers, or coffee cans of paint, stacks of canvases, or just a Mac Plus and an old, handbuilt analog synthesizer. Billy’s been around the block a few times, thank fucking god. It’s great to talk to someone without explanation!
