Anne Edsall, 1962-2010

A short note for those who knew her, who were around. There’s a ‘friends of Anne’ Facebook group for anyone who wishes to reminisce. It just makes me terribly sad that she is gone. Anne was someone I knew from the late seventies to the early eighties. I haven’t seen her since. She was a lot of fun, smart, ornery and always ready for a fight. Danny slugged the lecherous Oog over Anne. My memories are necessarily hazy. She was friends with Liz and Ruth and Arthur and Marina. I met her through Philip and I suppose we saw every Student Teachers show, and shared many a drunken cab ride to the Upper West Side from CB’s and Max’s. She was too young to die in her sleep. Good bye Anne.
